It happened in Patna, Bihar State : There is a village called Sarairanjan in Bihar State's Samastipur District. Here, a homeopathy Lady Doctor was proposed to a Bridegroom , Banker by profession. They know each other since 2005 when their marriage was proposed and arranged by their families.

The day arrived for the 'Baraat". The girl after exchanging garlands found the Banker bridegroom drunken and dancing with other baraatis to celebrate his own marriage occasion !!

The prestigious Doctor Bride courageously did an encore of sorts and refused to exchange marriage vows with the drunken Bridegroom.

Her loving father, a businessman, Yogendra Mahto, supported her and stood by her side to order the marriage party to return.

"Dancing recklessly in a drunken state in such an 'uncivilized manner' is not acceptable to me and my family," he said. The Bridegroom, even called in the police to calm down the raging bride and her father. Garlanded, bejeweled and decked in traditional Red Bridal Attair, the Brave Bride could not be budge by anyone.

The Bridegroom Mr. Ravi Kumar, a PO with United Bank of India had to return home empty handed, with a broken heart but inebriated enough.
